DAX in Action–RG KBD begrüßt Marco Russo

Im Oktober haben wir das Glück zusätzlich zu unserem regulären Termin mit Christoph Muthmann und seinen “10 Tipps für die Reporting Services”, einen besonderen Gast in Köln begrüßen zu dürfen.

Marco Russo, SQL Server MVP, MCT und SSAS Maestro gibt am 11. und 12. Oktober in Köln einen SSAS Tabular Workshop. Da er schon einmal in Köln ist, hat er sich bereit erklärt am 11. Oktober Abends im Microsoft Office bei einem zusätzliches RG Treffen einen Vortrag zu halten. Dax in Action

Tabular is the new SSAS modeling experience and DAX is the new language to use to create BI solution with Tabular. How does it compare with MDX and Multidimensional? In this session, which is mostly based on demos, we will build a complex BI solution from scratch, starting from simple analysis and moving through complex scenarios, showing how you will leverage the tremendous speed of DAX to create complex solution on simple data models, focusing on the differences in building the same solution in MDX or DAX.

Marco Russo

Marco is a Business Intelligence consultant and mentor. His main activities are related to data warehouse relational and multidimensional design, but he is also involved in the complete development lifecycle of a BI solution. He has particular competence and experience in sectors like financial services (including complex olap designs in banking area), manufacturing, gambling and commercial distribution.

Marco is also a book author and, apart from his BI-related publications, he also wrote some books about .NET programming. He is also a speaker in international conferences like PASS Summit, SQLRally and SQLBits.

He achieved the unique SSAS Maestro certification and is also a Microsoft Certified Trainer with several Microsoft Certified Professional certifications.
